Yeah, the feeling of getting dumped sucks. There’s no question about that. Sometimes, you can go crazy thinking about all the things that went wrong in your relationship.

But the bottom of the line is, the reason why your relationship ended is because your girlfriend’s lost attraction for you. No, it wasn’t because you left your dirty laundry around the house or that it’s “her, not you…”, it’s because the foundation of her attraction for you faded, and it’s your fault. Women are repelled by men that put unrealistic restraints on their lives. Though asserting your dominance in a relationship is important, you have to know exactly when “enough is enough”. If you don’t, then don’t be surprised that your girlfriend or wife left you.

deadly sin 2 – seeking validation from your girlfriend

What does this mean? It means that you constantly seek your girlfriend’s approval. Asking questions like, “Do you love me? Do think I’m fit enough? Is my penis big enough for you? Did you have a good time?” repels women. It conveys that you aren’t confident or good enough… which reeks of insecurity.

deadly sin 3 – being jealous

Were you jealous that she was flirting with other guys? So you’ve been un-ceremonially dumped by your now ex-girlfriend (applies to ex-boyfriends as well!). I feel you bro… been there many times myself. If you’re like most guys, it probably seemed to come out of left field. Everything seemed so good… until it wasn’t.

Don’t feel too bad. Feminine women in particular are emotional creatures and therefore do things that don’t make sense to hyper-logical men. Not passing judgement, just stating facts.

That said, I know this knowledge provides scant comfort for your oh-so tender, broken heart. I get it. So here are three things you can do to man up and pull yourself back together.

1.) do a relationship retrospective

Provided you’ve allowed yourself time to grieve and are thinking somewhat straight, the first thing to do post-breakup is to document what you’ve learned from the relationship. If you haven’t learned something about yourself and women in the course of a relationship, you are doing it wrong. I come away from each of my relationships with experiences and practices that I take to make my next relationships even better.

I write my retrospectives using a notepad app on my phone, but you can use pen and paper if you prefer. Make separate documents for each relationship, with each containing two parts.

what positive things did you learn?

First, document all the things you’ve learned during the course of the relationship that enriched your life. These could be practical things like meals or apps your ex-girlfriend introduced you to that are now a regular part of your life.

Better yet, these are specific things she did that you liked or turned you on. For example, I learned that it really turns me on when my girl hugs me from behind or tells me when I’m doing something she likes.

what could have been done better?

Second, document all of the mistakes you made during the relationship, so you can make a conscious effort to be a better man in your next relationship. Those who do not learn from the past are condemned to repeat it!

You can bitch and moan all you want about how your ex should’ve been more patient with you, but she doesn’t owe you shit. Women lose attraction if they feel like they have to mother their man, so don’t put her in that position. Become the best version of yourself. If that’s still not enough, then she isn’t good for you anyway.

2.) give up ALL hope of reconciliation

Face it, she’s just not that into you. She broke up with you, so she obviously doesn’t value you very much and isn’t scared of losing you. Why would you want to be with a person like this?

Holding out hope for a change of heart is recipe for needless suffering and mental anguish. You documented what you learned from that relationship, now it’s time to accept that it’s over and fully move on.

Further, in the rare event that she comes back (don’t get your hopes up!), she will be more likely to stay if you have done the work from your retrospective and have therefore grown as a man. Otherwise, the reason the relationship ended before will likely bring on a repeat performance.

3.) cultivate an abundance of prospects

If you find yourself obsessively stewing over this one girl, it’s likely because you don’t have enough options. There are likely THOUSANDS of attractive women in your vicinity. Why would you allow your heart to be twisted in knots over ONE who dumped you!?

How you go about doing this is a whole other blog post… or book! Suffice to say, at a high level there are essentially two things you need to do on a regular basis:

  • Become the best version of yourself
  • Put yourself in locations where your ideal prospects go

Iterate on these two things and you will have massively increased the surface area for chance encounters with attractive women to stick. Never allow yourself to be in a position where your only option is a woman who values you so little that she walked away.

Something happened three years ago, that I could’ve never imagined as even possible before then.

My ab muscles and bicep veins became visible.

As someone who had struggled with his weight since childhood, these things just didn’t seem to be in my reality. You see, I exercised regularly and probably ate healthier than most and yet I never seem to see any results. I attributed this to “bad genetics”. That is, until three years ago.

And you know what’s perhaps even more impressive? The fifty pounds I lost never came back.

how I lost 50 pounds in 1 month

Three years ago, something traumatic happened and caused me to completely lose my appetite for about 2 weeks. I’d have my morning cup of coffee and just pace around my condo while drinking it, my mind racing. Finally, by around 11am, I’d have a couple of eggs and maybe a piece of breakfast meat. Dinner would be whatever I felt like, without going overboard on portions or carbs.

Just two weeks of that and my clothes were already significantly looser. I month in and I went from a tight 36″ waist to a loose 31″ waist

This’s when I started to notice my abs. It sounds lame, but I actually spent hours looking at myself in the mirror, because I couldn’t believe it was real. In fact, part of me was scared shitless that I was just going to put the weight right back on, as soon as my appetite returned.

I was determined to not let this happen. It turns out that seeing tangible results can reveal an inner resolve you didn’t know you had!

how I kept the weight off

Three years later, I can still see my muscles. I’m still a size 31″ waist.

There’s no doubt that daily exercise is a big factor in my ongoing success. I do cross-fit and/or yoga pretty much every day. Furthermore, most of what I like to do for fun is active.

That said, I lost the weight and saw my abs BEFORE I started doing cross-fit or yoga.

In fact, I’ve gone to the gym and been active my whole adult life and never saw much change. That’s why I attribute my success mostly to diet.

my healthy diet principles

Let’s get into some light theory. When you wake up, your body is in fat-burning mode, since you haven’t eaten for 8 or more hours. However, as soon as you eat carbs, your body exits fat burning mode. Therefore, I wanted to delay eating carbs as long as possible.

Furthermore, there are reasons to believe certain carbs are worse than others. I’m not going to go down that rabbit hole here, but suffice to say I decided to stay away from grains and sugars as much as possible, while allowing myself limited amounts of starchy root vegetables and fruits.

So given these principles, it would seem that perhaps breakfast IS the most important meal of the day.

the best breakfast for fat-loss and muscle growth

You’ll recall from my story above, that coffee for breakfast was what seemingly started it all for me. I had not yet heard of intermittent fasting at the time, but was essentially practicing it since I didn’t eat until around 11am.

As my appetite returned, I started tweaking this central component of my diet so that I’m now adding the following three ingredients to my Puerto Rican coffee every morning:

  • heavy cream – has zero carbs (sugars) unlike most other creamers
  • collagen peptides – provides muscle-building protein along with skin and joint support
  • creatine monohydrate – intermittent fasting can lead to losing muscle mass, so I added this to counter act this

Pro tip: I highly recommend using a frother for the cream. It makes the cream seem sweeter without adding any sugar!

I’ll follow my coffee up with my first real meal of the day at around 12:30pm; fried eggs with some type of nitrate-free breakfast meat. You’ll notice I still haven’t really had any carbs so I can potentially stay in fat-burning mode until dinner!

I was hoping to see at least a modest increase in my testosterone levels, but I was blown away by the results. My total testosterone levels increased by 43% to over 1000 ng/dL!

The success of Tongkat Ali got me interested in another testosterone boosting supplement promoted by Andrew Huberman, Fadogia Agrestis. I have not yet gotten my bloodwork done since I started, so I’m not 100% sure if this supplement will provide a further boost for me.

Tongkat Ali – One capsule (400 mg) daily with my morning coffee with no formal schedule for cycling off.

Fadogia Agrestis – One capsule (300 mg) daily with lunch, which is half the dose recommended by Huberman. However, my preference is find the minimum effective dose, versus maxing out.

Enduring another of the periodic manias where it seems that toilet paper is the most valuable commodity on earth, I was inspired to research bidets as an alternative.
